Cardboard Creation and Pop-up Play Birthday Party!
We did our traditional loose parts party for my son on Saturday. The kids had so much fun, but at this point I really want to get a little shop in town to make a creative space, saving the hassle of loading/unloading/setting up/taking down. With that said, look at the creativity and ingenuity shown here! It makes my heart happy and it's something I look forward to every winter.
Set up
We put the cardboard in the front so they all made their creations, then played with the loose parts afterwards. I think it changed the way everything was handled, because there wasn't as much craziness as last time. Creating first then running around last seems like a good way to go.
, The kids didn't quite know what to do with the transient art. Next time I'll bring play dough, but everything else was well used!
Create
Play!
First the adult pulled them around...
Then the kids started it on their own!
"They were attacking the camp and I walked for 40 years."
"We were crawling and crawling and bumping roll (rolling and bumping the sides)"
Transporting to and from the church.
It's a good thing we only live a couple of blocks from the church.
And a tower at home
