Happy Home Ingredient # 5, TIME

     The main reason I wanted to start homeschooling is TIME, I wanted my children to have time to follow their passions, time to be in nature, time to explore and experiment, and time to be together as a family. So far, it's what I've loved about homeschooling- having the time to do these things! As an example Mr. 7 is on a project kick right now. We found a fun book called, Science all around. From ideas in the book he experimented with light and shadows, making a shadow theater. Then he started folding paper into boxes that can float! He made quite a few of those, now he just got home from grandma and grandpa's and they showed him how to fold flea catchers (MASH folders if you remember that from back in the day), and he's made about 20 of them in all different sizes! Yesterday he started making marble runs out of legos, and we just made our own sun dial. I love to see his brain work, coming up with these things on his own.
